Jon Randall Stewart was born in Dallas, TX and in his teenage years relocated to Nashville where he started his professional musical journey singing backup and playing guitar with Emmylou Harris’s Nash Ramblers, who he won a Grammy with in 1992 for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group. He released his debut solo album, “What You Don’t Know, in 1995 on RCA. His three subsequent albums have all been met with much critical acclaim.

As a songwriter, Randall is most known for “Whiskey Lullaby,” the Brad Paisley and Alison Krausss hit single he co-wrote with Whisperin’ Bill Anderson, which won the CMA Award for Song of the Year in 2005. Jon’s #1 songs include “Am I The Only One” from Dierks Bentley and “Drink On It” by Blake Shelton. Other artists who have recorded his songs include Tim McGraw, Gary Allan, Jack Ingram, Reba McEntire, Guy Clark, and more.

Jon also produced Dierks Bentley’s acoustic project “Up on the Ridge,” which earned CMA, Grammy, and ACM nominations. He also won ACM Song of the Year in 2018 for “Tin Man,” which was recorded by Miranda Lambert.

Most recently, Randall has been nominated for a 2019 ACM Award for Album of the Year as a producer on Dierks Bentely’s “The Mountain,” which Jon also has 4 cuts on. In addition, he scored a track on the new Maren Morris album “Girl,” which was released March 8th.
