Rhett Akins started as a recording artist in the mid-90’s with his first album released in 1995, followed by two #1 songs. Since shifting to a career as full-time songwriter, he has amassed over 35 career #1 singles for such superstar artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Brooks & Dunn, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Young, and many others. Akins was named 2018 ACM Songwriter of the Year and the ACM Songwriter of the Decade in 2019. In 2021, Rhett was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame.
